Abstract |
This issue of IJHRB is composed of papers presented in 2022 Korea-China-Japan Tall Building Forum which was held on August 26 in Seoul, Korea organized by the CTBUH Korea. Total of nine papers are included in this issue on the structural design and construction of tall buildings. In this issue, the article of Mr. Kataoka and other engineers in Obayashi Corporation presented application of CFD at the planning stage of high-rise buildings. Mr. Okabe and other engineers in Mori Building Co., Nihon Sekkei Inc., and Shimizu Corp presented structural design of Toranomon-Azabudai Project. Prof. Sakata in Tokyo Institute of Technology and Mr. Yamazaki in Japan Building Research Institute described the seismic design and other challenges in high-rise wooden structures. Mr. Seo and Mr. Baek in POSCO E&C presented the construction technologies applied to Parc.1 project. Mr. Zhou from East China Architectural Design & Research Institute presented issues related to construction and structural design of Wuhan Center. Mr. Zhu, director of Arup Shanghai office, described the Innovative structural design of the sky bridge in ChongQing Raffles. Prof. Zhou in Tongji University discussed about seismic performance and vibration control of urban over-track high-rise buildings. Dr. Jiyoung Kim in CNP Dongyang presented structural health monitoring technique applied to Parc. 1 building. Finally Prof. Lee of Dongkuk University presented a new methodology for securing safety against fire in tall buildings. In addition, I would like to express my appreciation of the support of Prof. Sang Dae Kim, the chief editor of IJHRB, and Ms Gahee Lee, the secretary of IJHRB for preparation of this issue |
