This issue of the IJHRB is composed of the papers presented at the 2018 China-Japan-Korea Tall Building Forum which was held on June 15 in Busan, Korea. The Forum was organized by the CTBUH Korea and the Super-Tall Building Global R&BD Center, and the theme of this year's meeting was 'Communications between Design and construction of Tall Buildings'. Seven selected papers on tall buildings were presented in this issue: Emeritus Prof. Wada and Prof. Takeuchi from Tokyo Institute of Technology reviewed the design and application of buckling-restrained brace on tall buildings. Prof. Moon in Yale University presented a review paper on the development of structural systems for super tall buildings. Dr. Watanabe from Nippon Steel & Sumikin Eng., Co presented representative types of BRB applied in practice, and described two recent applications. Prof. Yuanqi Li from Tongji university submitted a paper on the new design method for detailing of CFT columns. Dr. Nakamizo and Dr. Koitabashi from Nikken Sekkei Ltd. studied on structural design of a high-rise building with mid-story seismic isolation. Structural engineers from China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group presented their research on recent progress in the field of construction equipment for super tall buildings. Finally Dr. Yamashita and associates from Takenaka Corporation presented their research on structural design and construction of tall damped buildings with irregular shape. The papers in this issue deliver valuable histories, new ideas, and top notch technologies in the field of tall buildings. We would like to thank all authors for their contribution on this issue.
